Staff Product Manager, Billing Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define the billing state machine, enforce handoffs, and establish guardrails to ensure new appointments are billed accurately without manual intervention.

• Develop reliable financial datasets, dashboards, and general-ledger/audit outputs for Finance and Accounting.

• Take ownership of the billing platform architecture and roadmap, including ledger, reconciliation, and data integrity systems.

• Collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to monitor payment and reconciliation health and implement systemic fixes.

• Work alongside Finance, Accounting, and Compliance to make financial reporting and audit preparation both trustworthy and efficient.

• Act as the platform for Provider Payouts, Payer Collections, and Pricing teams to build upon.

• Convey ledger realities effectively between accounting/operations and engineering audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in building billing platforms, ledgers, or accounting systems.

• Preferably have experience in healthcare, fintech, or marketplaces with intricate payment flows.

• Comfortable engaging deeply with engineering teams on complex technical challenges.

• Proven ability to drive challenging architectural decisions.

• Capable of partnering effectively with Finance, Accounting, and Compliance as well as Engineering teams.

• Ability to translate ledger realities into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

• Strong, clear, and concise communication skills.

• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
