Billing Clerk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Receive payments from patients and third parties

• Adjust accounts for patients

• Handle incoming payment processing

• Verify write-off amounts

• Send medical records to third parties upon request

• Digitize documents through scanning

• Confirm refunds for patients and third parties

• Identify issues related to payers

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience working in a large physician's clinic

• Proficient in navigating Payer Vendor websites

• Capable of using multiple computer screens simultaneously in a fast-paced setting

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently from home

• Patient, empathetic, reliable, and adaptable

• Exceptional documentation and reporting skills

• Maintain professionalism in all interactions

• Compliance with CRMS policies

• Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations with strict adherence

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Payment Posting Specialist in a hospital or medical office environment

• Ability to perform remote office tasks while sitting for extended periods at a desk and working on a computer

• Capacity to view monitors for long durations
