Staff Product Manager, Agentic Planning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish a definitive direction for planning as software development increasingly integrates collaboration among individuals and artificial intelligence agents.

• Assist the team in transitioning from ambiguous inquiries to established priorities.

• Influence how users articulate intent, decompose it into actionable tasks, and identify which tasks can be executed independently.

• Assess the connection between planning, software delivery, company priorities, business objectives, and budget considerations.

• Share accountability for work items, boards, specifications, and portfolio planning.

• Aid in delineating the division of product ownership alongside another product manager.

• Collaborate with engineering and design to convert product direction into a roadmap and enhance planning workflows throughout GitLab.

• Convey recommendations to senior leadership, constructively challenge assumptions, and guide the team through directional changes.
