This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of Thunderbolt product features from their initial concept through to launch, adoption, and ongoing iteration.
β’ Convert product vision, user requirements, partner insights, and enterprise needs into actionable technical plans and delivered product experiences.
β’ Collaborate across the stack to develop, integrate, test, and deploy comprehensive product features.
β’ Create AI-driven chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, integrations, and enterprise workflow functionalities.
β’ Work alongside product, design, engineering, enterprise-facing teams, and contributors from the open-source community.
β’ Partner with senior technical leadership to translate technical direction into actionable product initiatives.
β’ Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring quality, security, maintainability, and reliability are upheld.
β’ Make informed technical and product decisions in uncertain circumstances.
β’ Analyze usage, feedback, support signals, quality concerns, and adoption trends post-launch.
β’ Implement features or collaborate on measurement strategies for adoption, reliability, and product value assessment.
β’ Recognize product gaps, technical risks, edge cases, and areas for user-experience enhancement.
β’ Write clear, maintainable, well-tested code across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and related areas of infrastructure.
β’ Develop reusable product and engineering patterns.
β’ Foster a product engineering culture centered around ownership, quality, experimentation, user value, and effective execution.
β’ Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including extensive experience in building and launching production applications with a Staff-level scope, leadership, and impact.
β’ Proficient full-stack engineering capabilities encompassing user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure-adjacent domains.
β’ Proven experience in owning intricate product features from technical planning through implementation, launch, evaluation, and continuous iteration.
β’ Background in developing AI-enabled products or features, with practical knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agents, model/provider abstraction, data connectors, retrieval systems, or AI application architecture.
β’ Experience assessing and utilizing various AI tools, models, frameworks, or development harnesses, along with the ability to articulate trade-offs and limitations.
β’ Familiarity with open-source enterprise products, developer tools, infrastructure offerings, platform products, or technically complex enterprise software.
β’ Strong product intuition and capability to translate product direction, feedback, customer requirements, and product insights into technical plans and iterations.
β’ Ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving environment with shifting product direction, architecture, and enterprise demands.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of software quality, testing, maintainability, security, performance, reliability, and implementation trade-offs.
β’ Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, design, open-source, and customer- or partner-facing stakeholders.
β’ Awareness of enterprise software requirements, including privacy, security, administration, access control, compliance, deployment flexibility, supportability, and responsible AI practices.
β’ Permanent work authorization for the specified country location; visa sponsorship is not available.
