Senior Software Engineer II – Tech Lead, External Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Facilitate technical discussions to pinpoint deficiencies in the telematics data platform, guiding the roadmap by establishing direction and suggesting solutions.

• Partner with engineering teams on design choices and downstream product effects to guarantee a smooth customer experience.

• Deliver features that provide customer value and enhance them based on user feedback.

• Execute full-stack features across front-end, back-end, and mobile platforms.

• Utilize technologies such as GoLang, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, and React Native; direct experience is not necessary.

• Oversee production systems managed by the team and offer operational support.

• Influence core architecture, the roadmap, and the broader engineering community.

• Advocate for and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles.

• Recruit, nurture, and lead a diverse, engaged, and high-performing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and developing products within a software engineering team.

• Demonstrated experience in leading the design, development, deployment, and continuous maintenance of highly scalable, distributed software systems.

• Proven track record in building, deploying, and maintaining Machine Learning-driven products.

• Experience in mentoring and supporting engineers, exemplifying engineering practices in a technical lead role.

• Proven ability to take comprehensive ownership of product and feature design, development, and delivery for large-scale, long-term projects.

• A proactive growth-oriented mindset.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Experience in developing customer-facing web and mobile workflow applications.

• Outstanding problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Strong communication abilities to foster effective teamwork and project collaboration.

• Passion and dedication to innovating in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
