This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the implementation of Thunderbolt product features from initial concept to launch, adoption, and further iterations.
• Convert product vision, user requirements, partner insights, and enterprise needs into technical plans and delivered product experiences.
• Collaborate across the stack to build, integrate, test, and deliver comprehensive product features.
• Develop AI-driven chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, integrations, and enterprise workflow functionalities.
• Work alongside product, design, engineering, enterprise-facing teams, and open-source contributors.
• Partner with senior technical leadership to translate technical strategies into actionable product work.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring quality, security, maintainability, and reliability are upheld.
• Navigate technical and product trade-offs in uncertain scenarios.
• Analyze usage, feedback, support signals, quality concerns, and adoption trends post-launch.
• Instrument features or collaborate on measurement strategies for adoption, reliability, and product value.
• Identify product deficiencies, technical risks, edge cases, and opportunities for enhancing user experience.
• Produce clear, maintainable, well-tested code across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure-related domains.
• Develop reusable product and engineering frameworks.
• Foster a product engineering culture that emphasizes ownership, quality, experimentation, user value, and effective execution.
• Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial experience in building and deploying production applications with Staff-level scope, leadership, and influence.
• Proficient full-stack engineering capabilities across user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure-related areas.
• Demonstrated experience in owning intricate product features from technical planning through implementation, launch, evaluation, and iteration.
• Background in developing AI-enabled products or features, with hands-on knowledge in LLMs, RAG, agents, model/provider abstraction, data connectors, retrieval systems, or AI application architecture.
• Familiarity with evaluating and utilizing various AI tools, models, frameworks, or development harnesses, with the capability to articulate trade-offs and limitations.
• Experience with open-source enterprise products, developer tools, infrastructure solutions, platform products, or technically sophisticated enterprise software.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to translate product direction, feedback, customer needs, and product signals into technical plans and iterations.
• Capability to work independently in a rapidly evolving product environment.
• In-depth understanding of software quality, testing, maintainability, security, performance, reliability, and implementation trade-offs.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, design, open-source, and customer- or partner-facing stakeholders.
• Awareness of enterprise software requirements, including privacy, security, administration, access control, compliance, deployment flexibility, supportability, and responsible AI.
• Candidates must reside in Canada and possess permanent work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.
