This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of search and browsing functionalities within the Discovery Pod.
• Manage information architecture and taxonomy choices for search and browse, encompassing category organization, filtering and faceting logic, as well as sorting and ranking behaviors.
• Design for search relevance, addressing scenarios with zero or low results.
• Collaborate with data and machine learning teams to enhance search ranking and personalization signals, ensuring model behavior translates into a clear and understandable member experience.
• Lead comprehensive design initiatives from conception through to execution.
• Work closely with product designers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to create intuitive and reliable member experiences.
• Align with Product Managers and Engineers regarding objectives, limitations, and feasibility.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design practices across all products.
• Contribute to and enhance the design system, partnering with the design system owner to maintain consistency and scalability.
• Provide mentorship to fellow designers through constructive feedback and guidance that benefits the entire team.
• Design filter and facet user experiences that can scale alongside catalog size and attribute complexity.
• A minimum of 6 years of product design or UX/UI experience, showcasing ownership of end-to-end initiatives at a senior to staff level.
• A portfolio that highlights strong user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design capabilities.
• Proficient in Figma and other leading design tools in the industry.
• Experience utilizing user research methods and A/B testing to guide data-driven design decisions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey design rationale to cross-functional partners.
• Experience in e-commerce, subscription-based businesses, or consumer-facing digital products.
