Product Designer – Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design the Communications experience by crafting interactions and introducing refined, human-centric moments.

• Manage smaller projects from inception to completion, addressing the problem and implementing enhancements.

• Enhance messaging consistency across various platforms by actively engaging with and promoting Jane's design system.

• Collaborate closely with developers and work alongside them on a daily basis.

• Engage in customer research sessions and translate clinic feedback into prototypes and actionable solutions.

• Establish strong relationships with designers in adjacent groups and collaborate with go-to-market partners.

• Advocate for pragmatic and responsible AI integration in design, utilizing tools like Claude Code.

• Assist in the development of communication products such as text messaging, secure messaging, and the staff notification center.

• Connect product initiatives from initial concepts through to launch and market introduction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a product designer in a commercial environment, ideally for a minimum of 2 years.

• Proven track record of shipping features to customers.

• Familiarity with the dynamics of a product team, including collaboration among design, product management, and developers.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Strong skills in interaction design and visual craftsmanship.

• Keen attention to states, transitions, and microinteractions.

• Proficient in using Claude Code and Figma.

• Knowledge of how to operate within a design system.

• Proactive attitude with the ability to initiate tasks without waiting for formal assignments.

• Curiosity and confidence to pose questions and voice opinions.

• Receptiveness to feedback.

• Currently residing in Canada.

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsorship.

• Portfolio URL is a must.

• Comfort with the use of AI during the interview process.
