Staff Product Designer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and communicate the design vision for Flex's key and intricate product initiatives.

• Establish a guiding principle for the consumer experience and foster cross-functional collaboration.

• Shape product strategy and roadmap through insightful design work and perspectives.

• Monitor UX trends and integrate pertinent insights into Flex.

• Oversee the complete design process for flagship initiatives, from research and ideation to refinement, prototyping, and final implementation.

• Uphold a high standard of craftsmanship across interaction patterns and the design system.

• Create detailed prototypes to visualize future products and aid in decision-making.

• Leverage AI throughout the design lifecycle for exploration, prototyping, and front-end workflows.

• Collaborate with design leadership, product teams, and engineering on intricate, cross-cutting product domains.

• Work alongside designers to ensure alignment and consistency in consumer experience.

• Champion design thinking and user-centered principles across the organization, including among executive leadership.

• Establish and refine design standards, processes, and patterns.

• Offer mentorship and constructive feedback to designers.

• Contribute to foundational elements and set benchmarks for the evolution of the design system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven history as a senior individual contributor on complex consumer products.

• Extensive expertise in UX/UI design.

• Strong experience in showcasing completed work with significant scope and quality.

• Ability and demonstrated experience in operating at the product-strategy level.

• Exceptional execution skills with a keen eye for detail in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and executive leadership teams.

• Proficiency with modern design tools.

• Familiarity with front-end development.

• Comfort using AI tools for research, exploration, prototyping, and workflow enhancements.
