Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design strategy and implementation for intricate initiatives that involve multiple teams, product surfaces, or customer workflows.

• Convert customer needs, business objectives, technical limitations, data insights, and product strategies into clear experiential guidance.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to define problem areas, sequence design tasks, and align teams towards achieving high-quality results.

• Develop prototypes, workflows, interaction models, and high-fidelity designs.

• Identify gaps in product experience, design debt, and inconsistencies across teams, transforming them into actionable improvements.

• Shape workflows powered by AI, intelligent interfaces, and experiences rich in automation.

• Enhance shared patterns, promote design-system adoption, uphold accessibility standards, and provide implementation guidance.

• Provide mentorship to senior and lead designers through critique, coaching, product judgment, storytelling, and design rationale.

• Collaborate effectively across time zones in the US and India.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in product design.

• An outstanding portfolio showcasing staff-level craftsmanship, product judgment, customer empathy, systems thinking, measurable impact, and quality of shipped products.

• Experience in influencing product direction beyond individual features or teams.

• Exceptional skills in visual and interaction design.

• Proficient in research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, content strategy, and usability testing.

• Strong proficiency in prototyping using Figma, Framer, AI coding tools, or lightweight front-end coding.

• Experience in designing AI-driven, automation-intensive, or intelligent product experiences.

• Comprehensive knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns, and scalable product experience decisions.

• Strong leadership abilities across functions.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

• A collaborative, low-ego leadership approach with a proven track record in mentoring designers.

• Mandatory experience using AI-powered tools for exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis, or workflow acceleration.

• A portfolio is required; applications lacking a portfolio will not be considered.
