Junior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop user interface functionality and products for a Cyber Operations platform that supports crucial national security objectives.

• Gather user stories and use cases to propose innovative designs that address interaction challenges.

• Collaborate with the Lead Designer, technical teams, and field engineering teams to prioritize valuable features and design them effectively.

• Create UI/UX designs for specific views and functionalities while contributing to the overarching vision of a cohesive product suite.

• Utilize established design concepts from an existing design system to meet new feature requirements.

• Recommend strategies for transitioning older interfaces and functionalities to new products.

• Engage with internal team members and customers to gain insights into use cases and requirements.

• Present designs and gather constructive feedback.

• Conduct usability testing for both new and existing interfaces and processes.

• Work independently under the guidance of the Lead Designer in a dynamic, small-team setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in product and UI/UX design.

• Proven experience with design tools like Figma, FigJam, and Adobe Creative Suite; other comparable tools are also acceptable.

• A portfolio showcasing web-based interface design experience.

• A solid understanding of responsive and adaptive design across various form factors.

• Eligibility and readiness to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance if necessary.

• Experience in creating designs that facilitate simultaneous content editing (preferred).

• Familiarity with designing for large-scale, real-time data visualization (preferred).

• Basic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (preferred).

• Experience working in an Agile environment using Atlassian collaboration tools (preferred).
