Principal User Experience Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Establish design direction and strategic vision for key product initiatives

• Oversee the design process from initial exploration to final launch

• Provide implementation-ready interfaces and enhance documentation experiences

• Streamline intricate workflows and address cross-product challenges

• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to prioritize design tasks, manage tradeoffs, and coordinate dependencies

• Leverage generative and evaluative research, product analytics, and customer insights to inform and validate design choices

• Develop a cohesive, efficient, and user-friendly experience across the Akamai Cloud console, APIs, CLI, and documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience

• Bachelor's degree in UX/UI design or a related discipline

• A portfolio showcasing the ability to translate complex problems into intuitive, cohesive experiences for enterprise software

• Proficiency in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping

• Demonstrated experience in setting design direction, aligning cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating design decisions

• Background in designing for technical users, including developers or cloud and infrastructure teams
