This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute remote order entry, verify orders, and confirm drug accuracy.
• Conduct medication reconciliation during transitions of care.
• Effectively navigate various pharmacy information systems.
• Offer drug information and therapeutic advice to healthcare providers.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of medications, including dosing, interactions, and compatibilities.
• Assist specialized patient populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing individuals, HIV patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairments.
• Accurately and promptly document clinical interventions and actions.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
• Operate across VPNs, automation systems, and various pharmacy information systems platforms.
• Engage in continuous clinical, PIS, and policy training.
• Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Provide telepharmacy services to multiple hospitals across different states.
• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; a PharmD is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
• An active and good standing pharmacist license in IL or CA is required.
• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses (IA, NE, HI).
• Strong clinical expertise and confidence in navigating multiple systems.
• Availability to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Active pharmacist licensure along with necessary credentials and system access.
• Must have cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.
• Knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic infusions, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and similar treatments.
• Familiarity with VPNs, automation systems, multiple pharmacy information systems, Google Suite/Microsoft Office, and Snagit.
• Compliance with HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
