Staff Pharmacist – Advanced Pulmonary Conditions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers.

• Reach out to doctors and/or patients to confirm prescription details and expedite order processing.

• Verify and ensure the legitimacy of controlled substances.

• Confirm prescription details entered by data entry or order entry personnel.

• Communicate with physicians for new and/or transfer authorizations.

• Collaborate with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred medications whenever feasible.

• Advise patients on medication usage and potential drug interactions.

• Monitor order status and address outstanding issues.

• Manage customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business needs.

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.

• Serve as a backup for other pharmacists as required.

• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.

• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Pennsylvania, preferably within an hour of company locations.

• Hold a current resident pharmacist license in good standing.

• Possess advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.

• Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.

• Maintain a strong focus on customer service, quality, and precision.

• Capable of managing timelines and adhering to tight client deadlines.

• Adaptability in a dynamic environment is essential.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Must be open to either assigned shift schedule.

• A minimum home internet speed of 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload via cable broadband or fiber optic service is required.
