This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance Leap’s oncology clinical model, which encompasses patient eligibility, therapy-specific guidelines, lab and treatment-clearance prerequisites, monitoring, and escalation protocols.
• Assess oncology therapies for Leap’s Specialty Drug List and determine suitable patients, regimens, and administration environments.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, professional standards, and FDA labeling.
• Review all oncology cases prior to starting treatment and reevaluate cases as treatment or clinical conditions evolve.
• Act as the primary oncology clinical escalation contact for Care Guides, nurses, and pharmacy collaborators.
• Collaborate with treating teams for clarification or when additional safeguards are necessary.
• Establish pathways for symptom monitoring and adverse-event escalation, including delayed immune-related reactions.
• Utilize safety findings to enhance patient care.
• Lead discussions between clinicians and oncologists, as well as cancer centers, regarding intricate cases and appropriateness of site-of-care.
• Create clinical materials and educational resources for providers.
• Foster relationships with key oncology practices and clinical advocates.
• Define nursing competencies, administration necessities, documentation criteria, and communication expectations for providers.
• Convert case-level insights into improved protocols, workflows, Care Guide standards, and overall program design.
• Leverage case experiences, provider feedback, and quality metrics to refine the program and inform its expansion.
• Represent Leap in clinical discussions with pharmacy partners, manufacturers, clients, and other external entities.
• PharmD degree.
• Active pharmacist license in the U.S.
• BCOP certification.
• Completion of a PGY2 oncology residency or a minimum of three years of oncology practice experience.
• Significant direct clinical experience in an oncology infusion center, inpatient oncology, home infusion, or oncology specialty pharmacy with direct patient care responsibilities.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to effectively communicate clinical reasoning to oncologists.
• Experience in developing clinical programs, protocols, or care pathways and translating them into operational workflows.
• Ability to work independently and create a developing clinical and operational playbook.
• Preferred: experience in developing oncology site-of-care programs or transitioning suitable patients to home or AIC care.
• Preferred: experience in home infusion, including nursing capabilities, lab coordination, treatment clearance, and communication with the treating team.
• Preferred: background in oncology quality improvement, specialty pharmacy, managed care, or payer site-of-care strategy.
