Staff Pharmacist – Advanced Pulmonary Conditions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers.

• Communicate with doctors, prescribers, and patients to verify prescription details and expedite order processing.

• Validate the authenticity of controlled substances.

• Confirm prescription information entered by data entry or order entry personnel.

• Reach out to physicians for new and transfer authorizations.

• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications whenever feasible.

• Discuss medication usage and potential drug interactions with patients.

• Provide supervision and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.

• Monitor order status and address outstanding issues.

• Manage customer inquiries related to lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain consistent daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business demands.

• Support other pharmacists when necessary.

• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Must hold a current resident pharmacist license in good standing.

• Possess advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of working collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions is required.

• Demonstrated commitment to customer service, quality, and accuracy.

• Competence in managing timelines and meeting tight deadlines.

• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.

• Open to either assigned shift schedule.

• Home internet connection must be via cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed.
