Clinical Consulting Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct clinical evaluations and provide consultations on medication requests, prior authorizations, and benefit decisions.

• Assess the appropriateness of therapy, dosing, and safety according to evidence-based guidelines.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives when necessary.

• Assist with complex case reviews and appeals by delivering precise clinical documentation.

• Identify opportunities to enhance medication adherence, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

• Educate internal teams regarding formulary management, utilization review, and updates in pharmacy policies.

• Ensure that members receive clinically suitable and cost-effective treatment options.

• Balance patient care with prudent resource management.

⛳️ Requirements

• R.Ph is required.

• PharmD is preferred.

• Must possess a full, current, and unrestricted pharmacist license in Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

• Capability to obtain additional state licensure as per business requirements.

• Preferred 1+ years of pharmacy experience in retail, hospital, or managed care settings.

• Proficient knowledge of formulary management, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy benefit structures.

• Strong skills in communication, analytics, and consultation.

• Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgment and work autonomously.

• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

• Preferred experience of 3–5 years in a pharmacy or managed care environment.

• Required State Pharmacy License.

• Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania or Tennessee.
