Staff Outcome Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and construct the agentic design system platform, which encompasses components, patterns, documentation, and utilities (MCPs, skills, plugins).

• Develop intake and automated evaluation systems to prioritize design requests and contributions while ensuring compliance with standards.

• Create release QA automation to identify quality and consistency issues prior to deployment.

• Implement production telemetry and feedback mechanisms to assess whether the delivered design work functions as expected.

• Lead ambitious projects aimed at exploring future agentic customer experiences utilizing cutting-edge technology from the private and defense sectors.

• Determine the appropriate points for human review versus areas where automation should take charge.

• Operate within Docker, EKS/Kubernetes on AWS, and utilize GitHub CI/CD pipelines to reliably ship and maintain systems.

• Engage in team reviews and provide guidance to the Head of Department regarding strategic initiatives and the design roadmap.

• Within six months, deliver a functioning agentic design platform, initiate a production-support system, establish governance, integrate systems into deployment/CI, lead an exploratory moonshot project, showcase adoption/impact metrics, and become a valued technical partner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience in developing and scaling agentic design systems, including automated documentation, synchronization of code and design sources of truth, governance systems, visual linting/auditing, automated reviews, and designer utilities (plugins, agent skills, MCPs).

• Proven experience in constructing production/release infrastructure such as automated pipelines, intake/evaluation systems, QA automation, or telemetry.

• Familiarity with Docker, EKS (Kubernetes on AWS), and GitHub CI/CD pipelines, or equivalent technologies.

• Well-informed insights on the placement of human review gates versus the effectiveness of automation, with the capability to substantiate that judgment with examples.

• A successful history of leading ambiguous, cross-functional exploratory or moonshot projects and translating exploration into tangible results.

• Comfortable assuming the role of the first and only individual in a position and creating the operational framework.

• Preferred: active participation and contribution within the design systems community.

• Preferred: experience with knowledge graphs, vector stores, or other semantic infrastructure for agent context/memory.

• Preferred: familiarity with evaluation/validation frameworks for agentic outputs.

• Preferred: curiosity about and exposure to leading-edge agentic technology in the private or defense sectors.
