This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develop and spearhead corporate software strategies for intricate new technologies, as well as significant enhancements to existing, new, or major programs.

• Offer technical guidance to execution teams throughout development and integration processes.

• Conduct thorough design analysis of proposed design solutions.

• Oversee integration and verification testing of a unified software build.

• Keep informed about emerging technologies and competing products while establishing GM's strategic direction.

• Share, communicate, and promote standardized best practices within the software community.

• Focus on cellular communication, defining and creating software and systems that utilize it.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with five (5) years of experience in positions such as Senior Software Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, or a similar role; OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by two (2) years of experience in the same positions.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in software development utilizing system-level software.

• At least two (2) years of experience programming in C and C++.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with network stacks.

• Two (2) years of experience with TCP/IP networking protocols.

• Two (2) years of experience in network stack work, including drivers through applications.

• Two (2) years of experience with application-level protocols built on top of the entire network stack.

• Two (2) years of experience with cellular baseband technology.

• Two (2) years of experience with embedded operating systems and software.

• Two (2) years of experience with cellular application-level control systems.

• Two (2) years of experience with Linux IOS.
