Staff Infrastructure Engineer – Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the infrastructure, deployment, and operational tools for latency-sensitive, multi-node trading environments, both in the cloud and on-premises.

• Enhance reliability and developer efficiency through effective observability, deployment safety, and incident response for 24/7 operational systems.

• Establish operational standards through comprehensive reviews and automation processes.

• Mitigate single points of failure across the trading infrastructure.

• Collaborate with trading-platform engineers to ensure latency-sensitive systems are both operable and high-performing.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and foster team resilience.

• Work in conjunction with Product, Institutional Markets, and SRE to translate platform requirements into an actionable roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years experience in infrastructure, platform, or SRE engineering.

• Proven track record of taking ownership of production systems at scale.

• Experience managing infrastructure for latency-sensitive trading environments, including on-premises and colocated deployments.

• Extensive knowledge of orchestration tools, containerized and bare metal deployments, as well as observability and logging tools.

• Strong foundational knowledge of Linux performance and networking, particularly in latency-critical settings.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering end-to-end solutions: from scoping and implementation to deployment safety, monitoring, and incident response.

• Background in a regulated or financial setting where reliability and low-latency performance are paramount.

• Responsible use of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready results and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, costs, and quality.
