This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Operate and manage the SAMS infrastructure hosted within OCI.
• Administer OCI services including compute, storage, networking, IAM, connectivity, and other related cloud offerings.
• Monitor the availability, performance, capacity, utilization, and overall operational health of the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, access, and performance.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform/IaC, scripting, and approved automation tools.
• Ensure infrastructure configuration is maintained through controlled, version-managed processes and Government-approved repositories.
• Provide support for cloud backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and continuity capabilities.
• Facilitate OCI connectivity with HHS networks, Oracle EBS components, external services, and relevant 3PL interfaces.
• Assist with security configuration, vulnerability remediation, patching, logging, monitoring, and compliance with FISMA/FedRAMP requirements.
• Support capacity planning and optimization of cloud resources.
• Coordinate infrastructure changes, releases, maintenance, and incident response with application, database, cybersecurity, integration, and Government teams.
• Maintain cloud architecture, configuration, operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Support modernization, system enhancements, operational readiness, and continuous improvement of the SAMS environment.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call services and respond to critical incidents within 15 minutes.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with the capability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience operating production workloads in OCI or a similar enterprise IaaS cloud environment.
• Familiarity with cloud compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, capacity management, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Demonstrated ability to administer Linux-based cloud environments, preferably Oracle.
• Experience in automating infrastructure deployment using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex issues related to infrastructure, connectivity, availability, and performance.
• Experience supporting production cloud environments with formal change, configuration, security, and operational controls.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across application, database, network, cybersecurity, and business teams.
• Strong skills in technical documentation and communication.
• Capability to obtain and maintain the required Tier 2 background investigation/suitability determination and HHS PIV access.
• Ability to meet SNS 24x7 on-call and 15-minute response requirements.
• OCI certification is preferred.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/GitLab, or similar tools is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Linux is preferred.
• Experience in supporting Oracle EBS or other enterprise ERP applications hosted in OCI is preferred.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP Moderate/FISMA environments is preferred.
• Experience with cloud disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, SIEM, and vulnerability management solutions is preferred.
• Experience supporting federal, HHS, public health, logistics, supply chain, or mission-critical environments is preferred.
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion/Cloud ERP is preferred.
