Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering, SMP/E

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming tasks.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software via SMP/E.

• Manage mainframe software effectively.

• Utilize JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Provide support for VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Work with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool applications.

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Utilize BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Offer technical leadership and oversee projects and programs.

• Engage and communicate with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in IBM z/OS / MVS Systems Programming.

• Proficient in SMP/E software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Experience in the installation and administration of mainframe software.

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Knowledge of VTAM and TCP/IP.

• Experience with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design.

• Proficient in using BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Proven technical leadership, project/program management skills, and ability to communicate with stakeholders.
