Staff Full Stack Engineer – Sell-Side Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Become a member of the Origination & New Products team within Sell Side Growth.

• Take charge of architecture-level decisions for complex, integration-focused systems that link Origination & New Products with Rosso, Data, and Billing.

• Assist in launching the first new product category to be live and generating qualified pipeline within six months.

• Aid in automating tendering processes that restrict the volume the team can quote.

• Transform a manual and error-prone pricing procedure into a productized solution.

• Develop deal-gating risk tools for new categories of commercial risk.

• Work within the React/TypeScript and Python/AWS serverless stack.

• Convert commercially driven, undefined challenges into actionable plans.

• Deliver results across team boundaries and dependencies without direct authority.

• Design, build, and launch challenging components of new product initiatives, focusing primarily on backend work, with frontend tasks as necessary.

• Write clean, well-tested code.

• Engage in code reviews.

• Enhance team practices and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive technical expertise in backend and systems design.

• Proven history of making architecture-level decisions on complex, integration-heavy systems.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.

• Experience with event-driven architectures.

• Capability to convert an ambiguous problem segment into a deliverable plan without comprehensive specifications.

• Experience delivering projects that involve critical dependencies managed by teams over which the candidate has no direct authority.

• Demonstrated product delivery experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer in a startup or fast-paced product setting.

• Responsible for complex projects from inception to completion.

• Exposure to React/TypeScript is advantageous.

• Experience in mentoring engineers or establishing technical direction is preferred.

• Background in energy, fintech, or other regulated, high-stakes commercial sectors is desirable.

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, or real-time pricing engines is a plus.

• Experience in originating new product lines from the ground up is preferred.

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English fluently.

• Must be eligible to work from the United Kingdom or authorized to work in the country of residence.
