Staff Engineer, ServiceNow – CMDB, ATF

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automated test cases utilizing ServiceNow ATF.

• Validate the functionality of the ServiceNow platform through various releases, enhancements, and configurations.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.

• Ensure the quality of CMDB data and support data hygiene initiatives throughout the platform.

• Validate processes related to Asset Management, Compliance, Auditing, and Security Controls.

• Test and verify integrations with third-party systems and applications.

• Assist with ServiceNow upgrade and cloning activities, including impact assessments and testing.

• Identify, document, track, and manage defects until resolution.

• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and related testing documentation.

• Collaborate with developers, administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality outputs.

• Provide testing sign-off and quality assurance recommendations for production deployments.

• Analyze test results and offer actionable insights to enhance platform quality and stability.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for ServiceNow Quality Engineering processes and test automation.

• Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards, governance, and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience with testing and quality assurance processes on the ServiceNow platform.

• Mandatory hands-on experience with the ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework).

• Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, data governance, and best practices for data hygiene.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using ATF.

• Good grasp of the fundamentals and core functionalities of the ServiceNow platform.

• Experience with Asset Management processes and the ServiceNow Asset Management modules.

• Knowledge of Compliance, Auditing, Access Management, and Security Controls within ServiceNow.

• Hands-on experience testing integrations with third-party applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, or Integration Hub.

• Experience in supporting ServiceNow upgrades, cloning activities, and post-upgrade validation testing.

• Strong understanding of various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Ability to drive Quality Engineering initiatives independently and establish best practices for testing.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management abilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• CSA certification or relevant ServiceNow certifications are a plus.
