Staff Engineer, Salesforce Health Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Salesforce Health Cloud solution architecture and implementation for large-scale healthcare projects.

• Comprehend client business scenarios and technical needs, translating them into actionable technical designs.

• Take charge of the overall technical strategy for Health Cloud, ensuring compliance with scalability, security, and HIPAA/PHI standards.

• Provide guidance to business stakeholders, architects, and senior management regarding Health Cloud functionalities and industry best practices.

• Evaluate and endorse both high-level and detailed technical designs.

• Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, optimization of governor limits, performance tuning, and maintenance of code quality standards.

• Direct teams on Salesforce security measures, data access protocols, sharing rules, consent management, and compliance requirements.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams.

• Collaborate effectively with Salesforce Architects and Developers to create scalable solutions.

• Assess the feasibility of solutions against Salesforce capabilities and project limitations.

• Create process flows, business process models, functional diagrams, and related documentation.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Facilitate user adoption by providing training materials, user manuals, and release notes.

• Evaluate existing Salesforce implementations and suggest areas for process enhancement and optimization.

• Establish non-functional requirements (NFR) guidelines and performance benchmarks.

• Draft and review architecture, frameworks, and high-level design documentation.

• Analyze architecture and design for extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and NFR compliance.

• Design solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, defining appropriate technologies, patterns, and frameworks.

• Address code and design review challenges through systematic root-cause analysis.

• Conduct proofs of concept to validate proposed designs and technologies.

• Mentor team members while upholding high standards of delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5.5 years of overall experience.

• Proven ability to lead end-to-end Salesforce Health Cloud solution architecture and delivery for large enterprise healthcare projects.

• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce Health Cloud features, including Patient/Member Profiles, Care Plans, Care Programs, Care Teams, Health Timelines, Assessments, Care Gaps, and Utilization Management.

• Experience in translating intricate healthcare business requirements into scalable Salesforce Health Cloud solutions.

• Proven track record of steering architectural decisions within Salesforce core, Health Cloud extensions, integrations, data models, and automation.

• Hands-on leadership experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs.

• Experience in defining and managing integration architecture utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, FHIR, and HL7.

• Strong grasp of EHR/EMR integrations, payer/provider workflows, and patient/member lifecycle management.

• Experience in leading requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.

• Proven ability to provide technical governance, perform design/code reviews, and manage architectural risks and technical debt.

• Experience in leading and mentoring distributed Salesforce teams, including developers, admins, QA, and offshore delivery teams.

• Practical experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Copado, Git, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.

• Experience collaborating with program managers on project scope, timelines, risks, and delivery commitments.

• Demonstrated experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement, including PoCs, new Salesforce Health Cloud features, and platform upgrades.

• Experience in participating in roadmap planning, release strategy, and long-term platform growth.

• Strong background in Agile/Scaled Agile environments, including sprint planning and release management.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
