Associate Staff Engineer, Salesforce Health Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Salesforce Health Cloud solution architecture and implementation for enterprise healthcare projects

• Manage the comprehensive Health Cloud technical strategy, ensuring it meets scalability, security, and HIPAA/PHI compliance standards

• Convert client business scenarios and technical needs into actionable technical designs

• Align architectural choices with requirements and convey them clearly to development teams

• Assess and analyze solution alternatives to determine the optimal fit for client needs

• Serve as a reliable advisor to business stakeholders, architects, and senior management regarding Health Cloud functionalities and best practices

• Evaluate and approve both high-level and detailed technical designs

• Promote the adoption of Salesforce best practices, optimize governor limits, enhance performance, and uphold code quality standards

• Provide guidance on Salesforce security, data access, sharing policies, consent management, and regulatory compliance

• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams

• Partner with Salesforce Architects and Developers to create scalable solutions

• Assess solution viability in relation to Salesforce capabilities and project limitations

• Create and maintain process flows, business models, functional diagrams, and documentation

• Engage in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog management, daily stand-ups, sprint assessments, and retrospectives

• Enhance user adoption through the development of training materials, user manuals, and release notes

• Evaluate existing Salesforce implementations and propose process enhancements and optimization strategies

• Establish guidelines and benchmarks for non-functional requirements

• Compose and review architecture and design documentation

• Analyze architecture and design for extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and non-functional requirements

• Develop comprehensive solutions and define relevant technologies, patterns, and frameworks

• Investigate and resolve code reviews and issues through systematic root-cause analysis

• Conduct proofs of concept to validate suggested designs and technologies

• Mentor team members while maintaining high standards of delivery

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of overall experience

• Proven ability to lead end-to-end Salesforce Health Cloud solution architecture and implementation for large-scale enterprise healthcare projects

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce Health Cloud capabilities, including Patient/Member Profiles, Care Plans, Care Programs, Care Teams, Health Timelines, Assessments, Care Gaps, and Utilization Management

• Experience in translating complex healthcare business requirements into scalable Salesforce Health Cloud solutions

• Familiarity with Salesforce core functionalities, Health Cloud extensions, integrations, data models, and automation processes

• Practical experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs

• Skilled in defining integration architecture utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, FHIR, and HL7

• Strong grasp of EHR/EMR integrations, payer/provider workflows, and patient/member lifecycle management

• Proven experience leading all phases of the delivery lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support

• Background in providing technical governance, conducting design/code reviews, and managing architectural risks and technical debt

• Experience in leading and mentoring distributed Salesforce teams, including developers, administrators, QA specialists, and offshore teams

• Hands-on proficiency with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Copado, Git, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins

• Experience in collaborating with program managers on project scope, timelines, risks, and delivery commitments

• History of driving innovation, proofs of concept, Salesforce Health Cloud feature adoption, and platform advancements

• Experience with strategic planning, release management, and long-term platform development

• Strong background in Agile/Scaled Agile environments, supporting sprint planning and release management

• Exceptional communication, leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
