Staff Engineer – Modern Workplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and steer the organization's strategy for Modern Workplace technology.

• Serve as the technical authority within Microsoft's workplace ecosystem.

• Oversee architecture, solution design, technical governance, and extensive transformation initiatives.

• Offer both strategic and hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, Intune, End User Computing, Copilot, Power Platform, automation, and emerging AI-driven workplace technologies.

• Establish architectural standards and influence technology roadmaps.

• Ensure that workplace technology solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

• Lead by influence in a matrix environment rather than through hierarchy.

• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

• Drive outcomes, shape strategic decisions, and deliver workplace technology solutions at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Modern Workplace Architecture and Enterprise Solution Design.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Identity Governance, and Access Management.

• Expertise in Microsoft 365 Architecture, Governance, and Collaboration Services.

• Experience with Intune, Endpoint Management, and End User Computing (EUC).

• Knowledge of Zero Trust, Security, and Compliance Architecture.

• Technical leadership, architecture governance, and design assurance experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, and automation.

• Experience in developing technology roadmaps and promoting continuous improvement.

• Skills in executive stakeholder management and influencing.

• Background in leading complex technical delivery and transformation programs.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Workplace Architecture, Microsoft 365, Identity, Endpoint Management, or related Microsoft Cloud technologies.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-300, MS-102, AZ-500, MD-102, or equivalent.

• A proven history of delivering architecture, governance, and transformation programs within enterprise environments.

• Strong grasp of Identity, Access Management, Security, Compliance, and Zero Trust principles.

• Preferred: experience with enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace transformation initiatives.

• Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Copilot governance, administration, and adoption.

• Preferred: expertise in Power Platform governance, DLP, and environment strategy.

• Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft Security technologies including Defender, Purview, and Entra ID Governance.

• Preferred: experience in M&A integration, tenant consolidation, and service migrations.

• Preferred: ability to define architectural standards, patterns, guardrails, and best practices.

• Preferred: mentoring senior engineers and leading by influence in matrix environments.

• Preferred: experience working within large global organizations (5,000+ users).
