Staff Engineer, Mainframe – Natural-Adabas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and provide support for applications utilizing Natural-Adabas technologies.

• Collaborate with customers to gain insights into their business needs, technical requirements, and application challenges.

• Collect and analyze both technical and business requirements.

• Convert business and technical requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Engage in technical discussions with customers and stakeholders.

• Evaluate existing applications to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support Natural-Adabas solutions.

• Diagnose technical issues and deliver effective solutions within established timelines.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions.

• Offer technical guidance and contribute to solution design and implementation.

• Ensure that solutions align with business requirements, technical standards, and quality expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of total experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience in Mainframe with Natural-Adabas development and JCL.

• Strong background in Natural and Adabas technologies.

• Proven ability to engage effectively with customers and business stakeholders.

• Demonstrated experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting technical and business requirements.

• Capability to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable technical solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Solid understanding of application development and technical solution design.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with technical and business teams.

• Strong customer-facing skills and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
