This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the target architecture and modernization strategy for a legacy .NET revenue and debt-recovery platform.

• Establish specifications, architecture, sequencing, and acceptance criteria for collaboration with an external delivery partner.

• Guide the partner's agentic build process, encompassing scope, work order, acceptance, merge gates, and escalation procedures.

• Evaluate generated code for maintainability while managing specification drift, blueprint consistency, regeneration, and testing limitations.

• Create equivalence evidence for monetary functionality and adjudicate on any divergences.

• Determine which legacy components should be reused, rebuilt, or intentionally left unchanged.

• Oversee the delivery relationship, including cadence, gates, commercial and technical discussions, as well as quality standards.

• Ensure that Neumo can independently build, deploy, operate, and modify the delivered system without relying on the partner.

• Enhance the capabilities of internal engineers regarding the new system and maintain comprehensive documentation and operational runbooks.

• Convey build status, risks, assumptions, and decisions to executives.

• Represent Neumo's technical stance with partners, customers, and procurement teams.

• Deliver a pilot-ready system within 90–120 days, ensuring statutory and financial behaviors are evidenced, accessibility gates are passed, and knowledge is transferred.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in building and operating production software, with substantial time spent at a staff or principal level.

• Profound knowledge in agentic or AI-assisted software delivery at a production scale; experience in shipping systems using this approach.

• Proven track record of owning architecture for large, multi-team systems.

• Experience in directing external delivery partners, consultancies, or systems integrators.

• Skilled in scope definition, acceptance criteria, and oversight of delivery processes.

• History of incremental legacy modernization, including strangler patterns, coexistence, live data migration, and cutovers with zero tolerance for data loss.

• Extensive experience with relational databases.

• Proficient in .NET and a modern web stack.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to differentiate between acceptable divergences and blockers, particularly concerning financial calculations.

• Comfortable operating with authority over an external team while lacking authority over colleagues.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in a remote, distributed organizational environment.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive benefits and compensation package.

• Fully remote work arrangement.
