Senior FullStack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of backend architecture and API design utilizing Python and Flask.

• Take ownership of service-layer architecture, conduct code reviews, and provide backend pattern guidance across full-stack projects.

• Design and implement scalable REST and asynchronous APIs with a clear separation between services and data access.

• Develop frontend features using React and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with UI teams to deliver comprehensive features and ensure frontend-backend integration.

• Architect and manage GCP infrastructure, including Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager, IAM, as well as logging and monitoring services.

• Design and optimize database solutions leveraging Google Spanner and SQL.

• Model relational data and utilize BigQuery for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Implement testing strategies using pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.

• Establish CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and Docker.

• Advocate for security best practices, including dependency management, secrets/configuration management, and secure development workflows.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for code exploration, test generation, debugging, and enhancing productivity.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

• Oversee technical delivery across feature teams and ensure alignment on architecture, testing standards, and deployment readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in Python with strong proficiency in Flask or similar web frameworks for backend API development.

• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, capable of building production-grade frontend features while collaborating on UI/UX delivery.

• Proven track record in designing and building REST APIs and service-oriented architectures with an emphasis on scalability and maintainability.

• Solid grasp of SQL, database design, and best practices in data modeling.

• Practical experience with GCP, including Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and foundational IAM and monitoring.

• Experience with comprehensive testing strategies including pytest, Jest, React Testing Library, and end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, GitHub Actions, and Docker containerization.

• Understanding of security best practices, covering dependency management, secrets/config handling, and secure development workflows.

• Ability to function as a technical lead, mentoring peers and making architectural decisions across full-stack domains.

• Experience or a strong aptitude for utilizing AI-assisted development tools and workflows to enhance code quality and developer productivity.

• Proficiency in English (advanced level) is required for effective communication with global teams.

• Experience with Google Spanner or cloud-native databases is a plus.

• Familiarity with BigQuery or data warehouse experience for analytics use cases is advantageous.

• Experience with agent-based or MCP tool integrations is a plus.

• Familiarity with async/event-driven architectures is an asset.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code or Terraform is an added advantage.
