Staff Engineer – Client Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable systems for global payment processing.

• Address the most challenging technical complexities within the platform and resolve intricate technical issues.

• Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to fellow engineers.

• Spearhead the delivery of complex, cross-team initiatives that align with business objectives and timelines.

• Contribute to the technical vision, roadmap, and engineering strategy.

• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders, effectively translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Enhance system performance and scalability through efficient algorithms and high-quality code.

• Ensure quality assurance through comprehensive testing and code reviews.

• Influence the development of AI-native systems and AI-driven engineering practices.

• Oversee the architecture of at least one major system within the initial 6–12 months.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of Go and/or Kotlin, with proficiency across the entire stack.

• Proven track record in designing and constructing robust, scalable, and maintainable systems.

• Strong understanding of architectural principles, design patterns, and industry best practices.

• Demonstrated capability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.

• Extensive experience with AWS and cloud-native services such as RDS, ECS, EKS, and S3.

• Excellent automated testing methodologies spanning unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience working within Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD frameworks.

• Proven technical leadership, encompassing mentoring and coaching engineers as well as guiding technical vision, strategy, and complex project execution.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
