Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain highly scalable and dependable systems in alignment with company objectives and technical standards.

• Establish, communicate, and uphold coding standards, design principles, and development methodologies across various teams.

• Drive architectural choices and synchronize technical strategies and roadmaps with stakeholders.

• Lead intricate projects from inception to delivery, collaborating with engineering, product, and design teams.

• Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery.

• Take ownership of end-to-end performance, security, and reliability of systems and applications.

• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.

• Offer constructive feedback during code reviews.

• Collaborate with engineering and other departments on feature and technology integration.

• Implement best practices, tools, and processes to enhance team efficiency, code quality, and system performance.

• Conduct root cause analysis and drive long-term improvements.

• Assess emerging technologies and introduce innovative solutions.

• Convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Engage in senior leadership technical discussions and strategic decision-making.

• Collect and address stakeholder feedback in alignment with business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of software development experience, with a robust background in large-scale systems and application architecture.

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.

• Strong proficiency in Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, or similar stack technologies.

• Profound understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices.

• Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
