Staff Deployment Strategist, Technical Advisory – Solutioning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with account teams during the sales process as the primary technical advisor and product champion.

• Grasp a customer's AI/data architecture and identify how Alation can contribute and provide value.

• Facilitate discovery sessions that uncover business and governance challenges.

• Manage the technical aspects of proof-of-value (POV) engagements, pilot projects, and adoption workshops.

• Provide engaging product demonstrations customized for enterprise stakeholders.

• Convert AI and platform architecture concepts into actionable insights for enterprise stakeholders.

• Confidently navigate common data and cloud platforms to discuss integration credibly.

• Create a robust, data-supported value narrative that connects technical capabilities to business outcomes.

• Work alongside account teams to identify expansion opportunities that arise from your efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in technical delivery, solutions consulting, or customer-facing roles at data/AI platform companies.

• Deep understanding of AI technologies, architecture, and the larger ecosystem (LLMs, agent patterns, data platforms).

• Familiarity with popular enterprise data and cloud platforms—Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure.

• Previous exposure to data or AI governance concepts.

• Demonstrated experience in engaging enterprise stakeholders and articulating value.

• Capability to convert vague technical and business requirements into a concise plan.

• Willingness to travel approximately 15–30% for customer onsite visits.
