• Direct the architectural vision for candidate retrieval, multi-objective ranking, and learning-to-rank models pertaining to raw product and design recommendations.
• Enhance personalization engines through sequence embeddings derived from merchant history, niche trends, and sales performance indicators.
• Link downstream merchant sales and conversion metrics to upstream design generation and candidate ranking models.
• Supervise image generation pipelines that integrate LLMs/multimodal models with deep learning frameworks such as diffusion models, UNets, and Vision Transformers.
• Build classical computer vision and deep learning competencies for tasks like delayering, automated background separation, print-area quality assessment, and asset validation.
• Serve as a product engineer with complete technical independence over model selection, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, self-hosting, serving pipelines, and frontend workflows.
• Quickly prototype, iterate, and deliver comprehensive agentic pipelines and ML features utilizing AI-assisted development.
• Establish and enhance online/offline evaluation frameworks while managing ongoing A/B testing.
• Advise on make-vs-buy and API versus self-hosted fine-tuning choices and optimize inference processes.
• Set applied ML standards, mentor senior individual contributors, conduct design reviews, and promote measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with data science and machine learning engineering teams to elevate production systems into enterprise-grade AI infrastructure.
• Over 8 years of practical experience in building, deploying, and scaling production ML systems, demonstrating a strong background in staff-level technical leadership.
• Extensive knowledge in modern search, candidate generation, and recommendation architectures, including Two-Tower models, ANN vector indexing, Transformer rerankers, and learning-to-rank algorithms.
• Practical experience in classical computer vision using OpenCV and contemporary deep vision architectures, including CNNs, Vision Transformers, diffusion models, and multimodal LLMs/CLIP.
• Proven capability to construct closed-loop ML systems that integrate clicks, conversions, and sales back into upstream model training and generation logic.
• Proficient in Python and the current AI/ML stack, including PyTorch, LLM orchestration, and agentic frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
