Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance machine learning models focused on predicting patient churn, estimating operational volumes, and assessing advocate quality.

• Take ownership of time-series forecasts for effective capacity planning and resource distribution.

• Spearhead the design and evaluation of A/B testing and causal inference research.

• Utilize advanced statistical techniques on complex datasets to reveal insights and address challenging business inquiries.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to implement models within the data infrastructure.

• Convert intricate statistical results into straightforward, actionable narratives for non-technical audiences.

• Directly report to the VP of Data.

• Lead significant projects that impact strategic decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and mathematics, encompassing hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time-series forecasting.

• Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem, including pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and NumPy.

• Practical experience with time-series analysis and forecasting methodologies, such as ARIMA, Prophet, and exponential smoothing.

• Capability to craft complex SQL queries and extract data from Snowflake.

• Awareness of best practices for managing PHI and PII, ensuring privacy during analysis.

• Self-motivated individual comfortable with ambiguity, possessing ownership, and adept at multitasking.

• Candidates must reside in the United States.

• Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Applied Science, or a related discipline (optional).

• Bonus: experience with Docker, Airflow, or MLflow.

• Bonus: familiarity with healthcare or insurance claims data.

• Bonus: knowledge of NLP techniques for processing unstructured text.
