Staff Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable ETL pipelines and data models to fulfill analytics and product requirements.

• Develop efficient data integration workflows to facilitate seamless data exchange between internal systems and external data sources.

• Optimize and enhance cloud-hosted databases and data infrastructure for intricate healthcare datasets.

• Ensure compliance with data security and healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA and HITRUST.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to identify and implement data requirements.

• Generate documentation and establish monitoring solutions to guarantee data reliability and transparency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a data engineering role or comparable position, with significant experience in health tech.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

• Practical experience with contemporary data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).

• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Temporal, Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure.

• Comprehensive understanding of data security principles and awareness of healthcare data compliance standards.

• Experience utilizing AI software development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and a forward-thinking approach to AI.

• Proven ability to manage messy, complex data and convert it into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Must reside in the United States and be eligible to work without sponsorship.
