Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain efficient data pipelines from various TMS and additional data sources.

• Create and execute new data structures or enhance existing ones to accommodate changing business needs.

• Build and manage the Data Vault, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts to provide essential metrics to operational and business stakeholders.

• Collaborate with internal teams, executives, clients, engineers, and external vendors.

• Provide essential metrics across multiple functional areas.

• Report directly to the Lead Data Engineer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish; proficient in both verbal and written communication.

• A Bachelor's Degree is required (or equivalent experience); a preference for fields such as Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related areas.

• Over 5 years of experience in technology with one or more of the following: Amazon Relational Database Service (Aurora, MySQL), Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake.

• Outstanding SQL development and performance tuning abilities.

• Familiarity with TMS, WMS, or other enterprise logistics platforms is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 is a considerable plus.

• Experience with Fivetran is a notable advantage.

• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory is a strong benefit.

• Knowledge of REST API is a significant plus.

• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• A creative thinker, intellectually curious, with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning.

• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, highly adaptable, and capable of taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
