This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
• Design and execute scalable data architectures in both hybrid cloud and on-premises settings.
• Oversee data integration initiatives from ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and SyteLine, along with CRM systems like Salesforce.
• Create and enhance scalable ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing distributed data processing and orchestration frameworks.
• Manage extensive data migration projects, ensuring data integrity, lineage, and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical data models tailored for both transactional and analytical applications.
• Work collaboratively with data engineers and analysts to operationalize and improve data solutions.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of data workflows and storage through methodologies like indexing, partitioning, and caching.
• Promote data quality, governance, and metadata management within reporting and analytics frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams.
• Advocate for contemporary data practices and tools.
• Stay informed on emerging data architecture technologies to foster innovation and modernization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles.
• Practical experience with Databricks, including the development of data pipelines, working with Delta Lake, and utilizing Spark-based transformations.
• Expertise in relational database development, including T-SQL, schema design, and indexing across platforms like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Significant experience in integrating and modeling data from ERP and CRM systems, including SAP, Oracle, SyteLine, and Salesforce.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, analysis, and automation.
• Experience in constructing robust ETL/ELT processes and supporting large-scale data migrations.
• Strong comprehension of data governance principles, metadata management, and best practices in data security.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalog or other enterprise data cataloging solutions is preferred.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming architectures is preferred.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing, financial, and supply chain data domains is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, infrastructure automation, and DevOps for data solutions is preferred.
• Minimal requirements for reaching, lifting, and walking.
• Regular use of computer, telephone, typing, and verbal communication.
