Lead Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance scalable data solutions for Journey Analytics projects.

• Manage and automate current GitHub code repositories.

• Refactor outdated code to simplify maintenance, updates, and reuse.

• Create and assemble modular, reusable code components.

• Design and oversee automated Databricks data pipelines.

• Integrate KPIs, metrics, and attributes into standardized data formats.

• Construct and uphold scalable data models for journey analytics.

• Ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability throughout pipelines and analytics datasets.

• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to enhance data processes and architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Python for data processing and transformation.

• Extensive experience with SQL and large-scale datasets.

• Background in data validation, transformation, and normalization.

• Experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and managing data ingestion workflows.

• Keen attention to detail with a strong emphasis on data quality and reliability.

• Solid understanding of data modeling and the design of reusable components.

• Proven experience in creating scalable data models for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Strong focus on data quality, performance, and reliability.

• Capability to work in cross-functional teams and contribute to ongoing improvement.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
