This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.
• Deliver specialized legal knowledge to assist healthcare providers in managing revenue cycle processes.
• Evaluate and challenge denied insurance claims by crafting compelling administrative appeals.
• Create appeal components that address contractual, regulatory, and statutory matters.
• Examine contracts, provider agreements, and federal/state regulations to enhance denial-resolution strategies.
• Work together with analysts, clinicians, and operations specialists on intricate cases.
• Perform targeted legal research to boost the effectiveness of appeals and align with business objectives.
• Facilitate systematic workflow enhancements through specialized legal insights.
• Aid in cross-service-line legal analysis and identification of trends.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
• Bar admission is preferable but not mandatory for strong candidates.
• 0–2 years of experience in healthcare; familiarity with revenue cycle management is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written communication abilities with an emphasis on persuasive argumentation.
• Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to collaborative workflows.
• Remarkable attention to detail and capability to operate within established procedures.
• Commitment to healthcare privacy standards and operational protocols.
• Interest in healthcare revenue cycle management and regulatory compliance, as opposed to traditional litigation.
• Preferred experience in contract analysis, appellate writing, or administrative law.
• Familiarity with concepts of healthcare reimbursement is preferred.
• Must reside in the United States within one of the specified states.
