This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.
• Offer specialized legal knowledge to assist healthcare providers in managing revenue cycle processes.
• Evaluate and contest denied insurance claims by crafting compelling administrative appeals.
• Prepare detailed appeal documents that address contractual, regulatory, and statutory matters.
• Examine contracts, provider agreements, and federal/state regulations to aid in denial resolution strategies.
• Work collaboratively with analysts, clinicians, and operations specialists on intricate cases.
• Conduct focused research to improve the effectiveness of appeals and further business goals.
• Promote systematic workflow enhancements through specialized legal knowledge.
• Aid in cross-service line legal evaluations and trend analysis.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
• Bar admission is preferred, but strong candidates without it are still considered.
• 0–2 years of experience in healthcare; experience or exposure to revenue cycle management is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written communication abilities with an emphasis on persuasive argumentation.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to collaborative workflows.
• Outstanding attention to detail and capability to operate within established procedures.
• Dedication to healthcare privacy standards and operational protocols.
• Interest in healthcare revenue cycle management and regulatory compliance, rather than traditional litigation.
• Experience in contract analysis, appellate writing, or administrative law is advantageous.
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement concepts is a plus.
• Must reside in the United States within one of the designated eligible states.
