Staff AI Engineer – Grafana AI/ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement AI solutions: Take the lead in creating high-performance AI features that assist users in detecting, triaging, and resolving incidents using observability data and tools.

• Quick experimentation and iteration: Execute a highly iterative approach that allows for rapid prototyping, testing, and validation with real users, including launching and refining LLM- or agent-powered workflows for incident lifecycle management and automated analysis tasks.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with data analysts, product managers, and designers to craft AI-driven product features, which include integrating agentic components with internal tools, alerting systems, runbooks, and developer workflows.

• Effective utilization of AI tools: Leverage AI and automation tools to improve both product capabilities and your own development processes.

• Strong communication skills: Since you will be operating in a highly dynamic and collaborative setting, we require someone who can communicate effectively and contribute across various teams.

• Ownership and influence: Assume complete ownership of the AI solutions you create, ensuring they are not only innovative but also scalable, maintainable, and aligned with actual user workflows.

• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and developing applications powered by GenAI.

• Demonstrated success in delivering software that is deployed in production and actively utilized by end-users.

• Experience in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Proficiency in using observability tools to analyze and troubleshoot system behavior.
