This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Design, create, and operationalize scalable, secure, and ethical Generative AI solutions across the affiliate business line.
• Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address complex healthcare challenges.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and IT professionals to establish requirements and prioritize machine learning projects.
• Define metrics for model performance and methodologies for evaluation.
• Design and implement scalable machine learning systems, data pipelines, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
• Optimize data pipelines, model training procedures, and infrastructure.
• Present technical insights, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy laws, ethical standards, HIPAA, and industry regulations.
• Manage team performance through constructive feedback and formal performance evaluations.
• Assess new machine learning algorithms and methodologies.
• Build and deploy production-grade LLM and GenAI applications utilizing AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI.
• Create cloud-native AI systems employing serverless, event-driven, microservices, and API architectures.
• Architect intelligent AI systems that deliver multi-step reasoning, tool utilization, and workflow orchestration.
• Develop AI agents using Copilot Studio and Power Automate Cloud flows.
• Establish RAG systems and secure document ingestion, embedding, chunking, grounding, and retrieval pipelines.
• Lead model experimentation, fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Optimize cost, performance, token usage, latency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, security, and compliance teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute reusable patterns, frameworks, and platform accelerators.
• Over 7 years of experience in large-scale software development.
• A minimum of 5 years in solution architecture or system design.
• At least 5 years of experience building large-scale microservices/APIs using Node.js.
• More than 3 years of hands-on experience with GCP and AWS, including serverless, event-driven, AI/ML, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, or similar technologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Strong experience in Python for AI/ML engineering.
• Proven production experience with agentic AI frameworks.
• Demonstrated production experience with RAG architectures and vector databases.
• Expertise in serverless and event-driven designs in a production setting.
• Experience with Vertex AI’s Generative AI Studio, vector search orchestration, and agent capabilities.
• Practical experience with OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS, pgvector, or Milvus.
• Solid understanding of prompt engineering, evaluation, observability, and LLM security patterns.
• Ability to produce clear design documents, architectural diagrams, runbooks, and technical briefs.
• Agile/SAFe experience in large organizations.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/GCP) are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years of relevant experience).
