Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operational accounting tasks

• Aid in the creation of financial reports and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders

• Generate monthly and quarterly reconciliations

• Analyze financial transactions, address accounting discrepancies, and pinpoint significant variances

• Design and implement processes aimed at automation, scalability, and enhanced efficiency

• Engage in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities

• Work alongside external auditors and tax specialists

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls

• Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts

• Conduct special projects and studies related to accounting and control issues

• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant, Operations Manager, various departments, external clients, and vendors

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory

• 0-2 years of experience in financial reporting and/or general accounting

• Strong understanding of US GAAP

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Proficient oral and written communication skills are essential

• Intermediate skills in Excel

• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational abilities

• Capacity to operate effectively in a remote work setting

• Skill in prioritizing multiple tasks while anticipating and resolving issues

• Ability to analyze problems and consider various alternative solutions for prompt decision-making

• Competence in developing practices, workflows, and policies

• CPA designation or progress toward CPA licensure is preferred

• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred
