Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare precise and timely indirect tax submissions.

• Collaborate with the company’s filing agent to ensure state reports are submitted accurately and on time.

• Handle member reimbursements, including the processing of physical checks.

• Conduct month-end reconciliations of the outstanding check list.

• Oversee the company’s escheatment process.

• Reconcile daily cash transactions.

• Create detailed month-end cash account reconciliations.

• Administer corporate credit card transactions by coding and recording expenses accurately.

• Execute month-end corporate card reconciliations.

• Act as an operational lead within daily accounting functions.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate or operational accounting.

• Strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles (US GAAP) and general ledger operations.

• Expertise in cash reconciliations, expense processing, and multi-state/corporate compliance tasks.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Capacity to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet critical monthly deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Outstanding communication abilities and effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendor partners.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Familiarity with or the ability to quickly master modern accounting systems such as Sage Intacct.
