This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Oversee accounts payable functions, including vouching, check runs, approvals, and maintaining invoice/packing-slip repositories.
• Assist with general ledger closing activities and ensure precise recording of transactions.
• Examine financial statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide support for cost and inventory accounting related to manufacturing operations.
• Prepare and assess monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Create monthly financial analyses for both internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting purposes.
• Manage fixed assets, including tracking construction in progress (CIP), capitalization, depreciation, and conducting periodic audits.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, accounting policies, and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and foster process enhancements.
• Contribute to special projects and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup support for accounts receivable functions.
• Achieve key performance indicators related to financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, budgeting variance accuracy, and journal-entry precision.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in public accounting is advantageous.
• MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data analytics tools.
• Capability to handle competing priorities effectively.
• Integrity and discretion in managing confidential information.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a focus on personal and professional growth.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both in speaking and writing.
• Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday.
• Occasional travel to site may be necessary throughout the year.
