Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee and guide the finance team, offering training and mentorship as necessary to enhance professional growth and performance.

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring precision in all financial documentation.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintenance of the general ledger.

• Prepare and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and various financial analysis tasks.

• Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies.

• Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for auditing purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a comparable position.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel is mandatory.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in billing and accounts receivable records.

• Familiarity with corporate accounting practices.

• Experience in dealing with US Clients and Retail businesses.

• Background in multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (U.S. sales tax, GST, VAT).

• Capability to utilize Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.

• Experience in the preparation and management of financial reports.

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
