This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Prepare, review, and manage federal, state, and local tax returns along with related filings.
• Assist in the calculations, reporting, and documentation for quarterly and year-end tax provisions.
• Develop and maintain tax schedules, workpapers, account reconciliations, and relevant disclosures.
• Investigate tax laws, regulations, and guidance to pinpoint impacts, risks, and planning opportunities.
• Aid in tax planning efforts and offer recommendations to management.
• Keep track of tax filing deadlines, registrations, notices, and compliance obligations.
• Address tax notices and collaborate with outside tax advisors.
• Facilitate federal, state, and local tax audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to requests for information.
• Reconcile tax accounts, examine variances, and address discrepancies.
• Provide assistance with sales and use tax, payroll tax, property tax, and other tax-related matters.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise tax records and supporting documentation.
• Enhance tax processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Collaborate with members of the Finance and Accounting teams to guarantee accurate and comprehensive financial information.
• Execute additional tax and accounting-related responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Four to seven years of progressively responsible experience in tax accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience in tax preparation, tax provision calculations, account reconciliations, and audit support.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Professionalism and discretion in managing confidential information.
• CPA certification is preferred.
