Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Process and reconcile daily financial transactions along with bank accounts.

• Generate daily cash reports.

• Input and reconcile credit card transactions.

• Download deposit reports from e-commerce marketplaces and create corresponding journal entries.

• Conduct month-end reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and customer liabilities.

• Generate intercompany invoices and journal entries.

• Maintain schedules for fixed assets and their associated depreciation.

• Assist in the month-end closing process.

• Support the preparation and filing of sales tax payments.

• Aid in various accounting-related tasks and the establishment of processes.

• Play a role in the client's daily financial operations and the expansion of consumer brands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• Over 4 years of general accounting experience.

• Proficiency in NetSuite is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• High proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and fundamental formulas.

• Comfortable in a lean, collaborative team setting.

• Capable of managing hands-on accounting tasks and a diverse workload.

• Professional fluency in English is required.

• Preferred: Experience in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer retail sectors.

• Preferred: Prior experience with Bill.com.

• Preferred: Background in supporting accounting operations within a growing consumer goods environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with tools like Slack and Adobe Acrobat.
