This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.
• Ensure that financial records for assigned Member accounts are accurate, timely, and comprehensive.
• Complete monthly closing activities within the established timelines.
• Generate and distribute precise monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
• Import, classify, and maintain transactional data effectively.
• Reconcile all accounts that can be reconciled, including monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying and investigating variances and irregularities.
• Organize and update financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee processes related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, and other accounting functions.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors as required.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively while recommending improvements in workflows, systems, and processes.
• Suggest methods for enhancing workflows, reducing costs, or increasing revenue for Members.
• Collaborate closely with the Member Services Team and liaise with a Senior Accountant reviewer.
• Execute additional related duties as assigned.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or comparable experience.
• Knowledge of and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in managing multiple clients simultaneously, particularly in a CPA or small accounting firm setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying financial information.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel, project management tools, and AI assistants.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing several priorities effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a Senior Accountant reviewer.
• Skilled in handling complex, time-sensitive tasks with precision.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Must reside and work remotely from Colorado, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New York, Oklahoma, Utah, or Wisconsin.
• CPA certification is not mandatory.
